Eliminating Mold

Mold – the black area on the back wall is mold spores that are now in the air and air ducts. This mold was located all over the basement area and in order to resolve the mold problem we recommended that work start towards getting the dampness from the basement. Running a dehumidifier would help with the amount of moisture in the air. Mold can be cleaned and it will disappear however unless the moisture that causes the mold is located, mold will continue to reappear. The only way mold can be tested is to place a spore in a Petri-dish and let it grow. This is very time consuming and expensive. If cleaning mold with bleach and water, be sure to wear a face mask to prevent inhaling of spores. NEVER allow children to clean mold since their lungs are much more susceptible to disease and damage.
