Daycare Center on VA Hospital Land

This was a beautiful building that was remodeled from a daycare center to a residence for the Doctor’s that worked at the VA Hospital in Milwaukee WI. REID performed lead remediation from the windows and doors. Lead paint was used in many paints that are now in homes, offices, hospitals, etc. Lead paint has a very sweet taste so it appeals to children of young ages. Some of our unusual clients included homes where little children “sucked” on the lead paint window sill as they looked out, picking up chips and putting them in their mouth, lead paint on plaster, windows, doors and exterior of homes. Lead paint should be addressed when remodeling or razing of homes. If children live in the residence, lead paint should be removed as soon as possible to prevent lead poisoning.
